Abstract

The%20paper%20reviews%20the%20uses%20of%20computer%20assisted%20instruction%20as%20a%20tool%20for%20indigenous%20pedagogy%20teaching%20and%20learning%20as%20it%20is%20to%20aborigines.%20The%20review%20shows,%20among%20others,%20that%20computer%20assisted%20instruction%20gives%20room%20for%20learning%20experiences%20as%20well%20as%20doing%20by%20observation.%20It%20can%20also%20serve%20as%20a%20medium%20of%20passing%20information%20as%20indigenous%20heritage,%20beliefs%20and%20respects%20from%20generation%20to%20generation.%20The%20paper%20then%20recommends%20that%20government%20should%20ensure%20that%20indigenous%20knowledge%20is%20respected%20and%20promoted%20in%20all%20funded%20education%20programmes.%20It%20also%20recommends%20that%20emphasis%20should%20be%20placed%20on%20designing%20CAI,%20which%20accommodates%20a%20whole%20person%20perspective,%20encourage%20rich%20and%20active%20learning,%20promote%20emotionally%20sound%20learning%20and%20meet%20the%20needs%20of%20learners%20from%20different%20groups.%20%20%0AKeywords:%20Computer%20Aided%20Instructions,%20Tool,%20Pedagogy
